I don’t know where to begin with choosing music! What should I do?
Give us a call! We have lists of popular playlists for every occasion. We will help you decide what works best for your special event.
I want a very unique song at my event and I’m almost certain you don’t know it. Will you be able to perform it?
We have a lot of experience performing unique songs. At a minimum, we will need to have a previous recording of a song, even if it is from YouTube, or music sheets. We will work together to see what is possible.
What kind of music do you offer at a cocktail hour?
Most people think cocktail hours consist only of classical tunes. We offer a variety of genres, including jazz, easy listening and popular songs. Let us know if you have a preference or like all of the above!
Do you also provide duets or trios? What instruments are available for this?
Yes, we provide duets (2 musicians) and trios (3 musicians), in additional to the standard solo (1 musician) performance. The following instruments are available for duets and trios: additional violins, violas and voices, as well as cellos, guitars and piano/keyboard. Duets and trios are subject to the availability of additional musicians, so book early!
Is piano accompaniment to a voice performance considered a duet?
No, piano and voice can be performed by the same person. Please call to talk more about this option!
My ceremony is located in an area without electrical sources. What will I do about sound amplification and quality?
Don’t worry. We have several portable amplification options that are battery-run. We will discuss what works best for your event.
My ceremony is on a tight schedule (otherwise I get charged more from the venue). I need to have everything wrapped up in 45 minutes. Can you accommodate?
Yes, we are very accustomed to performing under constrained timelines. We will work together to design a program that accommodates your time requirements.
My event is outside. What happens if it rains or snows?
We cannot perform in wet weather (otherwise our instruments will be permanently damaged). Most venues provide an option for an indoor back-up plan for these situations. If there is an indoor plan, we will switch gears seamlessly to move indoors. Please call your venue to learn about indoor back-up plans.
I have several people helping with my event. Can I delegate to family, friends or colleagues?
Of course. Please let us know who we should work with. We will run all final details by the person who books the event.
How do I reserve a date for my event?
We must receive a $150 deposit at the time of booking. Unfortunately, we cannot hold any days until we have a deposit. The event must be paid in full before the performance. This date will be outlined in your contract.
Do you have a postponement and cancellation policy?
Yes. If the event must be postponed due to unforeseeable circumstances, a new date can be chosen if date is available in the musician's schedule. Changes to a booking requires a new contract. Cancellations must occur no less than 30 days from the booked event and will result in payment of 50% of the unpaid balance due. Cancellations less than 30 days from the event will require payment in full of the remaining balance. Deposits are non-refundable.
My event has a lot of unique requirements. How much will everything cost?
Please give us a call. We have many options and will discuss what best works for you. Once we understand your needs, we will send you a quote.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, personal checks, most credit cards, PayPal and other select payment applications. There is a $25 “bad check” charge if a personal check is bounced.
Do you have references?
Yes! Just ask and we will give you references.
