Alice Marie is a classically-trained electric violinist/violist and singer/songwriter who has
performed with several national acts, including an Ireland-England tour with the award-winning
pan-Celtic Rock band, Barleyjuice, which was sponsored by the Irish radio station, Blarney on
the Air. She also performed at the Shamrock Series/Fenway Park with Barleyjuice (an event
which boasts about 30K people) and opened for the national Irish act, Black47, during several
shows on their 2014 Farewell Tour. Most recently, Alice Marie backed the Grammy-nominated,
G.Love, during Preston and Steve’s “Campout for Hunger” (93.3 WMMR FM) with her band,
Jamison.
Alice Marie plays across many different genres of music. She performed and recorded with
Hip-hop artist, Kuf Knotz (Philadelphia Magazine named “Best Rapper” of 2022); she also joined
the Highway Women (Amelia Presley) to headline Yachtstock back in 2017. In 2019, she joined
activist and artist, Jea Street Jr. to play the Firefly Music Festival as an electric violinist. Over
the past 10 years, Alice Marie has been featured on Good Day, Philadelphia as a violinist several
times.
Alice Marie holds a Graduate-level Teacher Certification from Eastern University and studied
with the Philadelphia Orchestra’s, Rachel Ku, while at Temple University. She also studied with
the respected vocal coach, Don Marrazzo. Alice Marie is currently working on another solo
album, Faded Nights, which will be a collection of original folk and rock tunes, with Latin and
Celtic influences.
